After taking some time off to relax and unwind over the holidays, we are back in the office and back at work in preparation for the 2014 Honda Indy Toronto.
I mentioned in my last post that fan surveys and an off-season review have helped us to identify our fans real appreciation of exciting and varied on-track content. In addition to the two full-length, points-awarding IndyCar Series races headlining the action on Saturday July 19, and Sunday July 20, I am confident we will host a schedule in 2014 that's packed with three days of action from gate open to close.
I am pleased to be able to officially announce our 2014 on-track lineup here. The IndyCar Series will be joined again by Indy Lights, the USF2000 Championship and the Acura Sports Car Challenge-featuring the Pirelli World Challenge, all returning to the streets of Toronto in 2014. In an effort to celebrate young drivers, and to showcase the future of open wheel racing in Canada we are pleased to have added the Formula 1600 Series to the schedule this year. Additionally, we are very excited to announce that an exotic Car race has joined our schedule, namely the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge. To top off the weekend excitement, due to VERY popular demand, Robby Gordon's high-flying Speed Energy Stadium Super Trucks will return, ramps and all!
We now look to turn our attention to securing the off-track entertainment and activity lineup, and already can't wait to share some exciting (and unexpected!) additions with you. Stay tuned!
See you in July,
