Toronto, ON (June 16, 2010) – Honda Indy Toronto announces that Dr Pepper will be the official soft drink of the 2010 event, which takes place on the streets of Toronto July 16, 17 and 18. This is the second consecutive year Dr Pepper has sponsored the Honda Indy Toronto.
“As North America’s oldest major soft drink brand, Dr Pepper knows how to scan and identify a good partnership opportunity,” says Andy Bayfield,
Dr Pepper has embraced the sponsorship by building an integrated and exciting marketing program that includes onsite sampling, a special Dr Pepper Grandstand, prizing, couponing, and a comprehensive retail initiative.
“Dr Pepper brings added value and fun to our customers,” says Charlie Johnstone, vice president and general manager of Honda Indy Toronto. “They’re not just supporting us; they’re embracing us and what we stand for.”
“Our customers love the association with the Honda Indy Toronto; ticketholders enjoy the onsite activities, and we absolutely love the event itself,” says Bayfield. “Summer is a perfect time for such festivities and we are excited to be a part of the action for the second year in a row.”
